I have absolutely no idea why Bass Pro even made the offer. It seems to me that Cabela's shareholders were out looking for that special kind of chump and they found one.

Being that I consider Cabela's to be the only Big Box store that still caters to the traditional Black Powder folks at all, I am not excited about any big changes there.
That said, the article is a bit dated.
There has been a major milestone in the deal since.
The Federal Reserve has approved the sale of Cabela's credit card operations, World's Foremost Bank, to Synovus Financial

Can you please add an "I don't care" line to the poll so I can vote?
I agree on that.

The only Bass Pro, I occasionally visit is in Fort Myers Florida, and they carry a meager amount of anything Black Powder related. The other Bass Pro near me is near my Rhode Island Home, Foxboro Mass, and Ditto there, although that doesn't matter as not being a Mass resident I can't buy so much as a round ball.
Either way I'm not much of a fan of either.

So that leaves me with the LGS or the net.
