Bass Pro Values

Sometimes I want something that, while not exactly obscure, might take some digging around and/or leg work to find.

Sometimes I want something kind of mid-grade that a big box budget retailer simply won't carry.

These are instances where I am willing to go ahead and give BP or Gander that extra $. Doesn't happen all that often, but it does happen. You can get the occasional decent deal or coupon/promotional deal, too.

Retail...

I think the big chains like Bass Pro Shops & Cabelas saw the value/$ behind building large, customer friendly brick & mortar stores over just web sales/catalogs.

Many people still like to shop.
Even though, several US malls & stores seem on the decline, tourists & travel keeps a lot of these places open.

Clothes & accessories seem to be the big draws of these locations more than guns or fishing boats.

Richmond is getting a Cabela's store next year. :D :D

I've bought so much stuff out of the catalogs that they've been sending me hardcover catalogs for years.

I've never been in a Cabela's store.

Green Top, Hopkins, and now Cabela's. Times are good. Gander Mountain had to leave. Oh yeah, there's still Bass Pro too.

I like the Red Head shirts or I wait for a good ammo sale - they do have them.

Their gun prices are too much as compared to the local gun show or Academy sports down the road.
