I have never fired it but I have tested the function of it and when I charge it and a live round goes into the chamber it often times is impossible to charge the handle again to remove the round. I have used two hands and rested the buttstock against my chest and still cant pull it open. I have to seperate the pins and drive the BCG back with a wedge and rubber mallet.... internet safety cop does nothing to help.

Well I never have consider myself to be a interent safety cop but I have seen first the results when a live round has fired while trying to clear the chamber.

I'm doing it in a safe manner, in a safe direction with safety gear.

Based on this comment then you have a safe backstop so there is no reason not to shoot some rounds through the gun as other posters recommend is there?

So I know this is quite old but I forgot to add the final outcome. I instead created a new post to inquire about other things.

Turns out having never built an AR10 I neglected to pay attention to the fact that the BCG and the barrel were different versions which were not compatible.

I replaced them both with a ultra match Rainier Arms BCG and Barrel and test fired the rifle. 25 shots with no issues.
