Lets say someone that is armed broke into your house AND YOU WERE SCARED FOR YOUR LIFE. If you could have any gun instantly and loaded, what would you use on the intruder?? I vote 12GA with extended magazine. Somewhere in the 10rd realm

Realistically I believe I would feel the safest with a 12GA

I'd use the .40 that is on my person before I'd rummage around through a bunch of guns in the room that may or may not be loaded and chambered.

A gun in a holster on your waist is going to be the fastest gun you can get into the fight.

Any gun will do, I'd just start with the closest one. Then I'd continue to use each and every one of them until he stopped wiggling.

Now, if you're asking what I think would be the best gun to use on an intruder, I prefer a Glock .40 cal with hollow points. Good power without so much power that I have to be overly concerned with shooting through into a neighbor's house. Also, there would be less mess to clean up after the body's removed than if you use a shotgun or high powered rifle.

Its an AOW so it requires a bunch of paperwork and a 5 dollar NFA tax. Most people (like me) who want one decide against it after all the stuff you have to go through to get a NFA regulated item.
