well, here she is in her present form....bear creeek BCA 47 upper, PSA MOE blemished lower thaat i cannot fin d a blemish on, and a PA microdot. Also have a Wolff extra power hammer spring on hand, as well as an enhanced firing pin for greater reliability with steel case ammo. As a bonus, the day before i got the rifle, i was tasked with cleaning out a deceased relative's ''gun room'' and among various other teasures found reloading dies and 3 boxes of brass cased ammo in 7.62x39. Although not a handloader currently, the acquisition of his equipment may inspire me to become one, espeically since he happened to have dies for almost everything i shoot aside from 6.5 creedmore and 7mag.

If you do plan to reload 7.62x39, I have had good luck with Accurate 1680 and H-4198 with Hornady bullets. I found H-4198 did better for me than the old standby 1680. I did the reloading primarily during the great ammo shortage of 2008-10 in order to have something to shoot. Make sure to crimp your brass firmly (I used the much maligned Lee FCD ) and do full length resizing though for any semi auto. I also check every semi-auto round whether pistol or rifle with a cartridge gage to ensure proper functioning but I tend to be sensitive to stuff like that after seeing the aftermath of someone blowing up a new Kahr carbine with their reloads from an out of battery discharge. Out of battery and bullet setback can be serious issues when reloading for semi-autos.

The only brand of reloadable brass that I had issue with a few years ago when reloading for an SKS was Fiocchi due to inconsistencies in the brass length.

Ok, heres something I've been pondering..I'm sitting on 700 rounds or so of Brass Yugo 7.62x39 M67. I know this is regarding as somewhat better ammo than the various current production steel-cased ammo, but also fully realize its known to be corrosive. That said, how much of an issue would I be looking at using this ammo in an AR-15? I've used the ammo in my SKS before, but know how to clean that in regards to corrosive ammo. At one point, I honestly probably wouldn have never even considered it, but with AR uppers now going for signifcantly les than I could sell my SKS for, the idea is more appealing, esp. if the ammo shoots awesomely out of my particular rifle :)
