Literally.........Up to now my BK11 has been my EDC and hasn't seen any real rough use. When the weather warms up it will also be my main woods bumming knife backed up by a SAK.
Since today got up to a balmy 22 degrees I got hit with spring fever and played outside.
When I camp don't baton instead I bring a camp axe, but today I figured what the heck. Besides I wanted to test my BK11 .
I started easy with a dry, warm piece from my basement woodpile..
That done I moved to a cold, wet chunk from my outside woodpile..
Then I moved on to a couple semi green sapling/branches from my brush pile to cross-grain cut. Say to make hiking staffs or shelter poles.
One about 1/2 "dia
And one about 1"
Not to bad for a little necker. It will make a fine woods knife.
