Don't trade. While I think you give too much credit for the 'Match Grade' barrel you rifle should fetch $1500 on a private sale. For that price there are better AR's then the Colt.

I won't comment on the trade originally posted but if buying outright PSA has great prices and if you do your homework you can buy an FN based AR that rivals the Colt 6920 for $800 or less. I would consider midlength gas instead of carbine length if you're going for a 16" barrel. Colt is excellent but doesn't come with midlength gas. You mentioned Daniel Defense which is a great rifle but of course more expensive than Colt. BCM is a great choice, too, slightly more than a Colt. Of course price depends on your configuration.

I have DD, BCM and PSA (FN) builds (uppers only, but my lowers are as good as their lowers) and I'd rate them in that order, DD, BCM and PSA. Really the difference isn't enough to matter, all are milspec+ as DD likes to say. PSA is a bargain but stay away from their PTAC stuff if you want milspec.

Colt is just 1 up from the M&P and they are the bottom feeders in MHO you can buy them at under 500.00

I just need one for pure recreation use and additionally, home defense. Hate waiting on my barrel to cool down and wont ruin such an expensive barrel. Guess I just needed some you did the right thing turning him down type of feedback. I need and want that exact colt pretty bad and he knew it.. I think he was just trying to take advantage of the fact. The GSR is HEAVYLY customized.. youll never see one like this one I guarentee it. Cant see it in pic, but optional flip-up BIG DOT up front. QR mounts for quick access to Irons.

When I see bolt gun with large cap magazine a picture log cabin in NWT not Detroit USA comes to mind. You need small-bore self-loader with large cap magazine. Not liking M16 handling and not wanting to be tempted to buy "kid stuff" like rails, goofy sights, grips,....I found like new AR-180. When I pick up this rifle I'm going to attach Surefire X300 with velcro and electrical tape (no need for rail do dads). Isn't Detroit USA AKM territory?

AKM territory? Lost me.. Detroits a great area just head up to the UP or other parts of the state and catch some big bucks, etc.. too many poo poo Detroit. The city has a bad rep for its murders and gang violence and narcotic trade etc but its a great city thats overlooked. Great hunting AND fishing state.

The 10 rounder is just in there for kicks lol. I have 5 rounders too.... I knew someone would say something! LOL

Also owning both types of mags in metal and this type of plastic they use the plastic mags are better. They have done torture tests on them. You can freeze then and throw them on the ground and nothing will happen so if you own this gun stick with the Rugers plastic mags. Just calling it plastic but really its a special resin.

So either you have no interest in mounting your light in a way that will ensure that it stays secure when you need it most, or you are trying to get a reaction out of people. We have a word for that kind of behavior...

AKM territory?

The AKM is a variant of the AK47. I think he is saying that Detroit is either a terrorist strong hold or only populated by gang members...

Robert since you mentioned Terrorists in your post I can assure you that Detroit is not the city to keep an eye on but is a city VERY close to it to keep an eye on. The FBI knows this already. Now a days terrorist as a word is being thrown around so freely that everybodies a terrorist to somebody. Its ridiculous.

On topic: Im not a big fan of the 7.62 AKs ive shot have been pretty lacking in accuracy not that im a competition shooter. Im unfamiliar with the AKM. I like the 5.56 over the 7.62 placement is key. From a Detroit perspective id rather have a nice 12 guage to defend my home then either an AK or AR OR varient. AKs and AR while battle proven are really just fun range guns to me. Preferably a 40 round mag on a nice AR and just fire away at 50-100 yds would be right up my alley and fun as hell! To each their own.

With the AK 47 SOOOOOO popular why isnt the AK 74 MORE popular it is a more modern design correct?


As far as gangs go.. yeah they run rampant in Detroit you have the black gangs which claim certain neighborhoods then you have the white gangs primaryly the Detroit Highwaymen MC. They don't seem to get a long very well..
