I finally got to start shooting yesterday, first cylinder load gave me a 2'' group, the first 4 shots in the same hole! I thought I was missing the whole target, so I stoped and walked out to the target to see.I almost fell over,I had 4 balls stacked in the end of a piece of firewood.I walked back and shot the last two rounds, one at 1'' high and the other was 1'' low.I didn't even have a camera to take a picture for you guys.Probably beginners luck! From that point on it held around a 5'' group, all of them about 10'' high, same as the first one. Used 30 grains of goex,.454 ball, and junkyard dog's lube pills. MY wife said it was like owning a motorcycle,I done more cleaning than riding, thats O.K. I enjoyed that part also!

That was at 25 yds.I can't wait till tomorrow evening ,maybe I'll have time to experiment a little bit, thanks for all the info. guys it really helps a greenhorn starting out with a revolver.

The two inch groups do happen fairly often but there is nothing wrong with the five inch one's either.

I have shot uncounted one-hole groups @ 50 feet, but far, far fewer at 25 yards. A 2" group at that distance says something about the shooter. and the quality of the revolver as well.

Ya did good. ;)

I don't think it is the shooter,he is allready in his early fifties, cant see as good as I did.Haven't shoot many pistols, mostly TC Hawkins,In-lines,Remington 300 mag. Can't hear as good as I did either, now I wear hearing protection.Fingers and joints getting stiff also, hands not as steady as they once were. Must have been the Colt Signature,or maybe the Lube Pills.I like the colt army, may have to get a navy also.
