What is a reasonable price for a Belgian made Browning SA-22 rifle in excellent condition?

Kind of a timely question. I'm not sure what the going rate is for these but I just paid $400 out to the door for a Belgian made SA-22 in excellent condition made in 1963 (grooved receiver but flip down rear sight.)

$400 for a Belgian made in excellent condition ain't bad. Seen them sell for more than that prior to the day the world went crazy. Similar one in 22 short would likely be in the neighborhood of $600.

The Japanese ones typically bring about $100 less than a Belgian model in the same condition. They are every bit as well made, and there is really nothing better about the Belgian model other than the "classic" factor.

So the MSRP on NIB Japanese is $699 per Browning. I'm seeing a wide range from $340 to $700+ for these in Grade I. Apparently they are still in production in Japan, so I guess there's no hurry to get a Miroku.
