Belt clips Anyone ?

Had one for awhile but decided not to use it as I don't care for the feel of the gun against me w/o being in a holster.

Not a clip grip but I carried a small .38 with the Baramie (sic) Hip-Grip. It was a loaner, the gun already had it on there, so I tried it out. Worked ok, not the most secure, but ok for day to day stuff. I kinda a little cushion between me and my weapon though. Still, if it works for you...

I have a Kel-Tec PF9 with belt clip and have CC it for 3 years now without incident. At first, not having anything covering the trigger was indeed a concern of mine but luckily the gun has a 7-8 lb trigger pull and that seems to be enough to prevent accidental/negligent discharges.

I have an extremely thin frame and no manner of holster looked right on me as they stuck out like a sore thumb. I am from FL where it is summer all year long so jackets were not a viable option. The belt clip has been a God-send to me and I agree it is not for everyone. Flame me if you must but as noted earlier, 3 years hassle-free.

Don't trust them. Seems to me that any carry that leaves the trigger exposed is just asking for trouble. I have a feeling that Plaxico Burress would agree on that point.

I have both the Keltec P-11 and P3AT with belt clips. Have used both for years with and without holsters,..all without issue. Never dropped a gun with them,..and never shot myself or anybody else in the keister, I generally carry them with the clips at 4 o'clock IWB,.....have the P3AT there as I type this in fact. Each to their own. But,..if you have never tried it,..please don't knock those that do. But,...flame away if you must,.... and if it makes ya feel better.

Plaxico Burress? Well, it's called a BELT clip, not a sweatpants clip (which was what he was wearing at the time). I can't even hang a flashlight from my sweatpants waist band without it sagging down, hence, I wouldn't dare to CC a gun in them. He shot himself for being an idiot, not because he had a belt clip on.

I have the universal revolver model attached to my SP101 with it's 8 million pound trigger. I like it (the clipdraw, not the trigger). I've also used one on an LCP. It worked fine, but I eventually removed that one, as the trigger is more like 1 million pounds.

By the way...the clipdraw generally positions the trigger directly behind your gun belt. It's not much more likely that something will get in the trigger guard between your skin and gun belt than something getting jammed into your holster. Having worn one extensively, I think the concern is overblown.

Oh...and from my experience with the LCP, I can say that the tape is absolutely not a problem. You are way better off using that and not drilling/tapping the side of your slide.
