The Benchmade model 551SBK Griptilian MDP SPECIAL
arrived on Friday. A nice blue cardboard box and nylon case
made a good first impression.

Liking the how light and smooth the knife was...
I had a few days to carry it on a quick trip and do some fly-fishing.

As one that is always fearful of losing my knife, I do appreciate how the Griptilian lives up to it's name.

A well constructed belt clip and combined bumpy texure of the knife make it very secure for carry clipped to your pocket.


http://www.onfinite.com/libraries/1192612/e98.jpgAgain, I appreciate that is is a light knife but very sturdy in design, and is easy to open and close. The partially serrated blade is very sharp and locks firmly into place. I'm sure that it will hold up to reasonable everyday use.

Like with the cheaper ( and cheaper made) Kershaw vapor 2
CZ-USA model folder that some of us have been using for
a few years now.

I think that this Benchmade is a great addition to your CZ memorabilia. Even though if costs a bit more than the standard Griptilian, you are getting a great knife and helping support your favorite gun company as well.
