My EDC knife for the last 4years has been a mini-grip and while I’m satisfied I find I’m intrigued by the Axis Assist.

So anybody carry an Emissary? This would be the most I’ve spent on a knife and while I think Benchmade quality is worth it I would like some feedback before I pull the trigger.

I bought a used Barrage on ebay for about 1/3 less than I paid for my new mini-griptilian. I like the assisted opening, but if you really like your current knife, you can probably flick it open just about as fast. That being said, I buy knives like other people buy candy bars, so don't let me talk you out of it.

Assisted opening got old quickly for me. now I stick with manual opening knives that can be opened quickly when I want, or slowly and more discretely when needed.

I have a couple dozen knives, but no benchmades, still go for it. Your reasoning is sound and also just because you can!
