I did a search on Benchmark and see a number of people are using it for .223. But, I haven't seen anyone post here about using Benchmark for other loads such as 7.62x39, 7.62x54R, or 8mm Mauser.

Does anyone here use Benchmark for other loadings? I ask b/c I foolishly ordered 8 pounds of Benchmark instead of BL-C(2) in my first big order from Powder Valley. Didn't realize it until I got the auto-confirmation email. I left voice mails and also sent them an email asking them to substitute BL-C(2) for Benchmark, but don't know 100% if they'll get the message in time before they fill my order.

I intended the BL-C(2) mostly for .223 and I see Hodgdon has some reasonable-looking loads for .223 with Benchmark. However, I didn't see any other loads listed. Neither my Speer #13 nor my Lee #2 guide have Benchmark data listed at all, that I can find.

How versatile is Benchmark for you all's? Worst case I guess I'll just make a butt-load of .223 if my order gets filled with Benchmark, but I'd like to use it for these other 7.62 and 7.92 loads as well if I can.

Benchmark is a newer powder you won`t find it in a old manual. If you go to the Hodgdon web site and check under the cartridge you want to load for, or pick up their reloading pamphlet/magazine you`ll find Benchmark data for almost any cartridge BL-C2 is used in.

BTW I really like Benchmark with 50gr Nosler BTs or 52 gr Sierra HPs in my Winchester Hi Wall 223..

Ah, great, thanks for the information! Now if I can only back into Hodgdon's website for load data, it was working yesterday...

Benchmark is being published on Alexander Arm's site for use with the 6.5 Grendel (with the lower weight bullets) which is derived from the 7.62x39 so should be listed @ Hogdon for that round. However, I did the same thing with Powder Valley on 5000 primers not long ago on a weekend... they didn't e-mail or call me back but did sub the right ones with a different order confimation the following monday. They'll probably catch it and correct it.
