Will the Benelli M4 reliable feed the reduced recoil/tactical 12 gauge loads?

Can the magazine tube be changed out to allow for full length use and more capacity?

yea i mean low recoil buckshot
I have had a Benelli M2 and a Remington 1100 tactical that would not cycle low recoil buckshot.

Redued recoil buck and slugs work fine in my M1 Super90 Tactical. Same with #8 bird shot.

I have seen them run thru an M4. The M4 is their only gas gun, just for increased flexibility and ability to hang on add ons.
Model 1100s will typically also cycle them with no issues.

My M2s and SBEIIs would not cycle 7/8 oz load equivalents, including LE buck, when new. It took at least 500 rounds to get them reliable with light loads, but once past that point they've been quite reliable with them. They will not, however, cycle 3/4oz loads. It's not a data point relevant to the M4, but worth mentioning in context of some posts.

Does anyone know about replace the magazine tube for one that adds more rounds?

Yes and No. Reduced recoil loads were designed for slide/pump action shotties. Some Benellis will run them, some will not. It also depends on the exact type of reduced load you want to use,it may or may not work in YOUR gun.

The gas operated M4 Benelli, if it does run, will probably run slower/sluggish than full power loads. Neither my M1S90 or M4S90 likes anything low recoil. Wally World promo loads run 100%.

Both of my Benellis, just for comparison, run S&B 2.75" OO buck 100% but they cycle SLOW.These are not advertised as low recoil but I find them mild mannered compared to real full power 12 gauge shells.
