Benelli Montefeltro problem

Hello. I am having a minor problem with my 20g Montefeltro. When unloading the gun, I press the cartridge drop lever to cycle shells from the magazine to the chamber and then out of the gun. Many times, the shell will not release from the magazine on the last round when I press the cartridge drop lever. I have to pull the trigger, cycle the bolt, press the cartridge drop lever sometimes several times to get last shell out of the gun.

Anyone know what could be causing the problem?

Replace the magazine spring.

Should be no need to pull the trigger. Push the release by the trigger guard and you'll hear a click. Then you can cycle the gun.

I have a hard time getting shells out of the magazine in my M1 and just cycle the shells out.
