Does anyone know the difference between the M1 and M2 Benelli's? Can you get a ComfortTech stock for an M1 Super 90? Are the barrels interchangeable between an M1 and an M2?
It looks like the stocks are a bit different and the safety is different, but those are the only differences I can see from looking at photos.
Also, does anyone actually own an M4? I've shot the M1 Super 90 A LOT and find it flawless in terms of reliability. I've shot everything from light field loads to 00 buck and slug, and never had a hiccup.
The closest I've come to shooting the M4 is shooting the Benelli R1 rifle. My friend and I found it supremely unreliable. So unreliable we send it right back to the factory. After it's first trip back to the factory, it is still very unreliable. By that, I mean we were still experiencing more than 1 failure to fire every 10 rounds. The reason I mention the R1 rifle is because it uses the same ARGO gas system as the M4 shotgun.
