I am about as far from a Benelli fanboy as you can get.

I agree with both above quotes.
I once owned a benelli sbe1 that failed me twice in the field over a seven year period. Their motto should be "Performance NOT Worth the Price" I'll never own one of their guns again!!!!! But if I were forced to own one. I'd go with the sbe, it's easier on the eyes.

An opinion from someone who actually owns one, the Vinci is a fine shotgun. My father dove hunts with a Benelli M2 and we both agree that the Vinci may look less appetizing to the eye, but is far more comfortable in the hand. I would say felt recoil between the two is equal and that's taking into account the Vinci is lighter.

Neither shotguns have had any malfunctions.
