I've had a Beretta Bobcat for some time, it is a well made little rimfire that is fun at the range. One of the drawbacks to the gun is the small thin front sight. In the past, I have painted it orange, but it never would stick to the rounded surface very well and would flake off in short order.
I had an idea to re-contour it, creating a flat vertical surface which I then painted orange. It seems to have worked, the paint has stayed on throughout handling and a range trip. Definitely easier for my eye to pick up than the tiny black blade.
