Been wanting one of these little beauties for a while and just scored one off of Gunbroker. Mine is the older version with fixed sights and a push-button safety. The crazy thing is that no one bid on it but me, but some poor schmuck bid a nearly identical 70S up to more than five bills--and that's with seven days left in the auction! It amazes me that such a price difference can exist in a free market driven by readilly available information.

Anyway, I was only able to find limited information on the Jaguar using the search feature. Most of the threads seemed to revolve around the constant search for spare magazines. Anyone here have direct experience with this gun? Seems like the perfect plinker.

Thanks.

Yes I also have one, great little shooters, NEVER jammed. My dad paid 69.00 for it in 1969, I wouldn't sell it for 500.00. Mine to has the button safety and mag release (series two had a lever safety). Spin the lever on the right side of the frame and slide the slide forward off of the frame. Isreali's Mosad liked to use these pistols fitted with a silencer for doing "dirty" work.. PM me and I'll try to find some pictures of mine and some infor that around here somewhere. I saw a NIB 71 go on an online auction about a year ago for well over 500++. If I'd seen the one that you bought online, it would have cost one of us MUCH more $$ to take it home.
Be safe.
Craig

Thanks, Craig. Good to hear from someone with firsthand experience. I thought I remembered something about the Mossad's preference for this pistol.

Here is a shot taken by the seller. I take it the three white marks on the trigger guard are proofmarks?
