ok, my brother wont shut up about this, so here goes...
in Lethal Weapon 1, he has the Beretta 92, with the b;ack grips, but on his grips the Beretta emblem is gold or white or something...
can someone link me to a pair of those grips?
You can see it good right after Dixie's house blows up in LW1. Riggs has his Beretta stuck down the back of his pants. You can see what looks like a big yellow emblem on the grip. I've asked about them before on here and on the Beretta Forum. I don't think I ever got a good answer to that question.
I don't know for sure, but I always figured that it was marked that way to indicate that it was a "safe" gun. I don't recall the dot in too many scenes.
Like I said, I don't know for sure, I'm probably wrong.
I always thought it was the Beretta logo inlayed in silver. I once saw an older 92 series at a local shop that had a pair of dark, almost black wood grips with such a medallion inlayed on either side. The clerk said they were "Special Edition" grips, but he wasn't sure if they were factory or aftermarket. The gun they were on was a blued 92 model.
