This is my 1st post on THR, Greetings!

When I load either of my 2 new MecGar mags for my NIB stainless 950BS :D the last 2 or 3 rounds are tough to insert because of spring pressure, and their noses will not angle upwards. The top cartridge isn't pressed up flush against the feedlips, it only touches them back near the base, and the bullet lays horizontally. It's as if the follower isn't pushing the noses upwards when the spring is compressed fully. I'm new to autoloaders, and I'm wondering if these mags will feed properly when fully loaded.

To unload, I have to push down on the rim to compress the spring a little before the round will move forward at all, then lift up the nose as I'm pushing the cartridge out from under the feed lips. The Jetfire's manual describes this as the correct technique to unload its mag.

These mags have perfect looking lips, have been lightly lubed, and both act the same way.

Wouldn't the slide need to push straight forward on the base of the cartridge to slide out the next round? When i shove on the case base with my finger, it will not budge. Is this normal?

Thanks for any help
