I have a A400 Xcel 12 ga that I have had a for a few years and not put a round through it. I recently joined a new gun club and plan to shoot more skeet than I have shot in the past several years.

I'll probably shoot my competition tubed Citori most but would like to shoot the A400 Xcel some.

How tolerant to light loads is the A400 Xcel?

Any thing about the gun I should pay attention to?

Thanks in advance.

I believe that a shooter at our gun club has one of these, but not 100% positive. I think he was shooting 1oz factory loads through the gun with no problem, but I don't know that super light reloads would function it. Won't know until you try. Good luck on ironing the kinks out of a new gun, although being a Beretta I would guess it will do fine.

I have 2 - the blue smurf 8# gun and the green, 3.5", 7# Xplor Unico. Both fire my 3/4oz 12 ga reloads running about 1275 with ZERO malfs.

Thanks, I kind of remember the Xcel is reported to be a bit more tolerant of a range of loads than many autoloaders. Appreciate confirmation.

Thanks, I do plan to approach light loads with caution until I know they will function without issue.
