Hey Folks-

As most of you know, I'm not into shotguns very much but on
Saturday (10-16) I got a chance to inspect (handle) a NIB 12
gague Beretta AL 391 Urika shotgun. I was amazed at what
a fine weapon this firearm really is; the Italians have outdone
themselves this time. Fit and finish was absolutely beautiful,
all accessories were there; and the gun handled really well.
If funds permitted (which they don't at this time), I would buy
one in a heartbeat!

Best Wishes,

They shoot nice too. I've shot a couple, handle OK and little kick. Triggers need some work.

I had one as my first SG, used for skeet and also was very impressed. Unfortunately, someone let me use their Browning Citori O/U and I had to have one. So I begrudgingly sold my 391, and got a Citori. If I was in the market for a autoloader though, I would get another 391 in a heartbeat!

My wife has one that she loves, she even does pretty decent with it at trap ;) . Personally I still like my Winchesters but the 391s are nice guns.

I love mine. I got the "Sporting" model and was lucky enough to buy when Beretta had a deal going. Got a nice jacket, hat, gel recoil pad, and three extended choke tubes for the cost of shipping.

Functions with everything, and really soaks up the recoil. You can shoot it all day long.

I've been using a 391 Urika Sporting as my primary clays gun for the past year or so, and it has now become my favorite duck gun as well. It patterns #4 and #6 Hevishot very nicely out of the IC tube, and has worked flawlessly despite a couple of serious dunkings (water and mud).

My only complaint is that it's kind of a pain to clean (compared to Benellis or pumps). This evening, the bolt got held up while I was taking it apart, and I ended up having to pull the trigger group in order to get the bolt free. Not that big a deal, but kind of a pain.

I highly recommend the 391 Sporting model. Craftmanship is even better than the standard 391, and the extra weight really soaks up recoil. One of the most successful autos in Europe.
