I have been getting into shotguns and have a few now.
I have some different models and I am learning. Now people I know want to trade.
What do you think of this deal. Buddy wants to trade.
Beretta AL391 Urika for Browning Gold. Both are like new and come with case and choke tubes. Which would you pick? Is there one big advantage or pretty even. Both guns in the gun shop run about the same price $900 - 1000
I have the Urika and he has the Gold.

Flip a coin. They are the two best gas-operated semi-autos on the market. Try both guns if you can and decide which one feels best to you. Personally I prefer the Beretta but I know guys shooting Browning Golds who are just as happy with them.

These guns feel significantly different on the shoulder to me, I happen to prefer the Browning. It would be great if you could shoot both of them but if you can't at least shoulder both of them in the GS and see which one points naturally for you and how you see the bead. I agree with f49r on the fact they are both quality shotguns, you can't go wrong with either.

If you already have a Beretta 391 and are happy with it, I see no quality or performance reasons to trade it for a Browning Gold. The only possible reasons would be specific features of the individual guns such as barrel length or if you wanted to shoot 3 1/2" shells. The Beretta is probably the most popular semiauto for clays shooters and the Browning is more geared towards hunters.

I've owned both and I can tell you that the Urika beats the Gold hands down. Not even close. Even the guy I sold the Browning to prefers his old Rem 11/87 over the Gold for clay shooting.
