Yesterday was the last day of our first firearms deer season. I made the rounds on my Yamaha and pulled SD cards and checked feeders. We have a Black Powder 3 day season coming up and I need to move stands. As I was riding I noticed something that didn't look right at the far end of one of the large pastures. Stopping at some feed troughs I pulled out the binoculars and saw a large coyote laying down broadside watching me. I was thinking, surely this thing won't stay around while I get my Bergara out of the gun case on my ATV. The yote never moved as I retrieved the rifle and my back pack. Easing over to the feed trough, I laid down and rested the rifle on the pack. Mr. yote was still staring at me. The Sig rangefinder read 270 yards. At the shot the yodel dog rolled over and kicked twice. I like this rifle better every time I squeeze one off.
