I asked about the UC9 here a few weeks ago and was essentially talked into buying one. I'm glad I was!
I was initially hooked by SOGs flyers that offered UC9s for $299, but they claimed they were on back-order every time I called, so I became a bit more proactive/impatient and looked into Auction Arms and Gun Broker for options.
I found a UC9 Pro new-in-box for $325 with two magazines, so that's the route I went.
The UC9 fits my mitts quite nicely and feels much in size to a CZ82. I will use the CZ82 as a size comparison as I suspect many here are familiar with this pistol.
I found the Bersa was remarkably easy to shoot, recoil being far more mild than I was expecting (less felt recoil than from my K9).
The handloads used were Zero brand 124gr JHPs over 4.0 grains of 231 and WSP primers, my typical range load.
Though the sight radius was short (that in addition to stinking with handguns), I was still able to hold a decent group during "rapid fire" at 10 yards, as well as a slower-paced aimed fire at 15.
I only had time to fire approximately 170 rounds, though there were no malfunctions during this phase of the "break-in period".
I'm no photographer as you can see, but below are some photos that might be useful for pistol size comparison. I apologize in advance for the tiny pictures; it was either tiny or huge and I didn't want to bog down the dial-ups. If anyone needs more detail, just ask and I'll upload the "large" version.
15 yard slow(ish) fire, 5 shot group
10 yards rapid(ish) fire, entire magazine of 13 rounds
Muzzle, recessed crown (polygonal rifled barrel)
Easy take-down lever
Comparison to the Cz-82
Comparison, again
Width Comparison to the Cz-82
Overlay... Cz-82 laying on top of UC9 (size is quite similar)
