I was just thinking about this when I read the Presidential carry thread. What where the best BUG usages in the cinema and TV.
I suggest:
1. Paladin and his Remington derringer
2. Yancey Derringer and his Sharps
my favorite:
3. Robert Loggia in Innocent Blood. He plays a mobster attacked by a beautiful French vampire. While she is going in for the bite, he gets a snubby out of an ankle holster and shoots her in the belly. Doesn't kill her but let's him get away.
Best real world use:
I have a book about the WTC where a police detective is in a crush against a window with fleeing folks with no exit. He decides to nuke the window but is unable to get to his Glock. He pulls a J frame from an ankle and shoots out the window. The shots were heard by other personnel who thought for awhile that there was a ground threat terrorist attack. It is the book written by a firearm (bald guy - Dennis something - duh - good read).
