I personally shoot either an old wingmaster or my old Ithica 37 for everything. My niece is wanting to buy her husband a shotgun for his birthday, she has pretty deep pockets and is wanting some advice on which gun to get. They(her and her husband) are very big on quality and want something they can pass down one day to their son. Her budget is $2000.00. Since he doesnt shoot much, I recommended a O/U or an auto. Looking for opinions, Thanks

With a little deeper pocket, she can get a nice AyA (Cablea's sells them) - runs about $3600 for the SxS in his choice of 12, 16, 20, 28 or 410

If $2K is the max, and they want NEW, then a nice Beretta 391 or A400 will fit the bill and last forever.

There are a few O/U field models from Browning or Beretta that might work - but he would be better off going to a club and trying a wide variety to see what he likes. SKB is another worth a look

Walking the uplands with a nice double in 28 gauge.....one can only hope.
