For all practical purposes, I am an AR noob.
Okay, not literally. I bought my first AR in 1982, but have never competed or gotten really serious about modifying/upgrading ARs.
I recently bought one of PSA's "polished enhanced fire control group" kits when they were on sale for $29.99 instead of the usual $49.99.
Last night I installed it on a PSA lower that I just purchased (never fired).
Honestly, I think it is garbage--no difference from the original parts, except that it is silver instead of black.
Same long creep, same hammer motion (the hammer moves downward before releasing.)
My EA15, bought in ~1984 (and probably fewer than 500 rounds since) has a superb trigger in comparison...and I would bet that most real AR guys would consider it mediocre at best.
One of these days, I'll spend $200 on an AR trigger.
If I live long enough.
