Just picked up a couple of 1911's.
One being a RIA 22tcm/9mm double stack, and thought it might be nice to be able to mount one of my lasers or lights to it.
Seems there are several ways to get it done. I don't want anything that will permanently change the fire arm, and since it already has a wide grip, I don't think the type that replaces the grip and clamshells the receiver would do it.
For those out there that have done this, what was your solution?

TIA

Yes, and I think they have mounts that do the same.
I am trolling to see if anyone here has used them, and how they liked them.

Normally I would say get a Recover Tactical grip. Its the kind that replaces the grip panels and adds a clamshell around the trigger guard extending into a dust cover rail. But their FAQ page says no to double stack or 2011 frames..So that's out. 5 minutes on Google I found a rail that attaches to the firearm using an extended slide stop pin, that doesn't require drilling into the frame. I don't know anything about the product but it might be worth a try.

Here is an older (non THR) thread talking about them
