I would like to get rid of at least some of the mushiness of the trigger. It's a range gun G22, so I am not too concerned about the final trigger weight, as long as it feels good (I am used to SA and LDA lately). Everyone advertises the best connector, lightest trigger, but I haven't seen too many reviews or comments, so fire away!

As a note, I am leaning toward getting the Stock Glock Competition Package from Glockmeister in two weeks at the local show.

I love the Ghost Rocket 3.5 connector

Not only does it lighten the pull, it also takes up all overtravel when installed and fitted properly.

I have a G24P that came with the factory 3.5 lbs connector. After polishing the contact points with a sharpening stone it was smooth as butter and very light. I've never actually put it on the scale but I wouldn't want it any lighter. I've never heard a complaint about the factory connector.

My new to me Delta Elite has a much shorter, crisper trigger pull (obviously) with much less over-travel (thanks to an after-market trigger) but is considerably heavier. That's only going to get worse as I bump up the hammer spring to increase the unlock time.

When I was shooting my G24 in casual competition I learned where to hold the trigger to drasticly shorten the reset and make much quicker follow up shots. If you're shooting slow fire this isn't important and just makes a premature shot more likely.

YMMV, modifying your gun can be dangerous and all the other normal legal disclaimers apply ;)

I have a Ghost polished 3.5 connector in my G30. It took away the mush. Noticably lighter feel, shoots faster. The Ghost rocket takes away the overtravel, but it doesn't just drop in.

Its a Glock..live with it or get rid of it..

Thanks buttrap, that answered my question so eloquently...

Two votes for the Ghost connector. The short standard reset of the trigger is nice... these connectors don't change that at all, right?

If you haven't done it already, the .25 trigger job sure smoothed mine up, I haven't felt anthing more was needed since doing it, YMMV however.......tom

I might do that first if I turn real cheap after buying Christmas gifts for everyone. :D

Why? The hammer is already cocked (the trigger does not compress the hammer spring). The hammer spring has absolutely nothing to do with the trigger pull. I wonder how much you really know how your new Delta Elite actually works.

Thread drift warning but...
The hammer spring most certainly does affect a 1911's trigger pull in most cases. If you don't believe it, pick up a 15lb mainspring and a 26lb mainspring and compare them.

BTW, a better solution for increasing dwell time is a square-corner firing pin stop, like EGW sells.

Back on topic, I hear great things about the factory 3.5lb connector with Custom Glock Racing's polish job.

I have been thinking about doing the same to my G19.

Lot of folks say to stay away from the 3.5 lb trigger for CCW.

Anyone else agree/disagree with this?

I use a Glock 3.5 connector - IMHO it's fine for "carry" as, despite the "3.5" name, trigger pull is still over 4 lbs.

I also used a felt wheel with simichrome metal polish on a Dremel tool to clean up the internal bearing surfaces - that made the pull smoother.

But it's still not equal to a properly tuned 1911.

BTW, I've heard many of the "aftermarket" connectors may impair reliability, as do aftermarket firing pins, aftermarket springs, etc. There seem to be a lot of bad - though not cheap! - Glock aftermarket parts out there. Be careful.
