I just purchased a Diamondback H model. 10 gauge steel body, 3 gauge in the door. Weighs 800lbs. I paid $1150.

The Diamondback is simply a distributor's brand name attached to a larger importers product.

The safe is a decent safe, but as a company, they engage in behavior that could potentially place your security at risk. In fact, I believe it was right here on this forum where one of their dealers proved my point by calling a fellow forum member (who had purchased on of the safes) out by first and last name without his permission.

Spend $100-$200 more, and you can get the same safe (with a different name) from a company who will take your security a bit more seriously.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've been told there are only a few safe makers and many safes are built for "brand names," as you mentioned.
