my springer champion operator came with some thick grips and i unfortunately have small hands lol. i was thinking of either aluma grips or raasco wood grips, does anyone have experience with these?:D

yeah, esmeralda does make some nice looking grips, but their cost is a little more than i want to spend

yeah, i wonder if i should order the slim bushing and screws from springfield armory, which would be more expensive, but at least i would know that the bushings won't strip the threads on my alloy frame champion operator. i don't know, maybe i'm, just being paranoid lol

fusion firearms has the cheapest price, by far! $29 for some nice coco bolo slim grips.
anyone know if they're good to deal with?

i know the prez used to run dan wesson, but i've seen good and bad reviews on fusion (mostly good though)

The CMC slim grips are very nicely made, attractive, and come with the bushings and screws. They are available from CMC, Midway, and Brownells among other places.

I like this guy, fast friendly service and he does custom engraving cheap!

The aluma grips are very thin, tough as nails and confortable. He did these on my Pro Raptor with the custom engraving of a picture I sent him for about $90 shipped. Plain grips are about $45.

I didn't know I needed slender grips til I held a buddies pistol with slim grips. Now I love them. I especially like cocobolo from Esmerelda. I plan to order some soon

i was just reading that my springer grip screw bushings might be "staked" in, and this would make taking them out a real pain. does anyone know if they are in fact staked in? and what, exactly, does that mean? i had assumed i could just use a flathead screwdriver in the notches to twist them out.

Hold a soldering iron on them, and get them hot, if they dont come out easily, stop! My S&W and Kimber were both just loctited in, and came out easily after the soldering iron trick. They sell a bushing removing tool, to help from spreading out the slots.

I can make any of the 2RCo polymer grips in thin configuration if you shoot me an email requesting it.

i think i might just look for regular grips that are thinner than the stock springer ones on my champion operator. i really don't want to mess with the grip screw bushings on an alloy frame gun. i don't want to run the risk of stripping the alloy threads in the frame.

You could just file the bushings down to fit;) Standard grips will still work on the slim bushing, so either way, your still good.

i just ordered vz gatorback grips on brownells website, but it didn't say if they are relieved for ambi safeties-does anyone know if they are?

if you go onto vz's website, some are ambi relieved and some aren't!

+1 Esmeralda; What He said; she adds new ones weekends. Have to keep a lookout; I have just missed several that someone else bought!
Cheers, TF
