Best Pocket Carry in 9MM ?

I frequently pocket carry a Kahr cm9. Wonderful pistol. Accuracy and quality are far greater than its modest price would suggest. I think it's the best of the breed.
Yup, had the CM9 existed when I bought my PM9 I probably would have saved myself some money by going with that instead.

9MM Kurtz ?

I have arthritis in my hands, but might be able to handle DAO.

Maybe some of you guys can supply some helpful info for making my choice the right one.

The Glock 42 might be a consideration, IMHO.

Since I'm pocket carrying my R51, I don't know if I'll be much help. If the pocket isn't deep enough, I carry an LCP. If I didn't have the R51 it would probably be a LC9 or maybe an SCCY-2

I have both and the original LC9 is making a fine paperweight these days. I can't believe how much I like the new LC9s, it's a totally different gun.
It's almost as if there are two final versions of the LC9 and my wife bought the good one. Our LC9's trigger is, as I read somewhere, "buttery smooth". So smooth in fact it's just not that far from the LC9S's. It's not that the LC9S's trigger is bad, it's got really nice action ... better than some of our more expensive guns.

I carry the Kahr PM9 now but as soon as I see what Remington is doing with the Rohrbaugh r9 I will probably get one. You might want to try different guns in your pocket and try drawing them before buying, as most all of the ones mentioned will do the job for you.

Gun Master, I have the same issues with arthritis (almost 70 years seems to do that to ya). I've tried a few different guns, but finally settled on the SIG P938.

While its more of a 911 style gun, its is a very good size for pocket carry, and the slide is very smooth to operate (I have a Shield that I simply cannot operate the slide on). The 938 is a very well made little gun and very accurate (look for one that was born in late 2013 or 2014, the early ones had some issues).

For little guns, I've had Kahrs, Kel-Tecs, two LC9s, a Shield, and an XDs. Only the P938 has stayed. In fact, I seldom carry anything bigger anymore. I can pop the 938 in my pocket or stick it in my waist band and I'm good to go.

I'm not a big fan of pocket carry for various personal reasons but, when all else fails, my PM9 is about as good as it gets.

I really like my Kahr CM9 in the pocket carry role. Great ergonomics, smooth DA trigger, and easy to acquire sights make for one very user friendly mini 9mm.

another strong vote for Kahr CM9. Been pocket carrying one for 2 years now and it is exceptionally capable for its size.

At 25 oz and 6.77" long the SIG P224 is hardly a "Pocket nine" that the OP asked about.

DB9 Diamond-Back 9x19mm ......

I looked into a safety orange 9mm pistol from DB but the company is very touchy about what you can put in it.
Id rather get a P290RS, LC9, Nano or Glock 26 gen 04 then a cheaper model that can only use certain weights or types.
A defense or carry pistol needs to be well engineered & robust. Cycle & feeding with HP/JHP/+P rounds should not be a problem.

I have a DB 380. Very easy to carry pocket gun, probably carry it more than anything I own. I like it and have not had any trouble ammunition I used it. Fortunately or unfortunately, I have had occassion to use it, it did fine. Also have the DB9, it has also been a great gun for me. No jams, misfeeds ect. The DB9 is not a range gun and not for anyone recoil sensitive. It has a very "distinctive" recoil. I have an LC9, I like the DB9 better to carry. The LC9 has far less perceived recoil with same ammunition, but that's a pretty subjective thing varies person to person.

Kahr cm9
It tucks away nicely in the pocket. It has a sweet trigger and super accurate for its size. It has a good price point for what your getting. I just shot mine today and I'm still amazed at the accuracy of such a small pistol.
It's been 100% reliable for me up to this point.

I bought my wife a Sig 290 the end of last year and it is a damn nice little pistol. We only have around 700 rounds through it but in those rounds it has been 100% reliable even with some questionable reloads. For its size I think it is quite accurate out to 12-15 yards as well. I'm not real big on DAO but seeing it fits nicely in a back pocket I guess it makes sense. I do have a ton of rounds through DA revolvers so the trigger doesn't bother me a bit.

There is really only one 9mm pocket gun and that is the R9 which I personally have shot and don't really care for.

Its not fun to shoot but it is easier to carry than any 9mm out there.

Most "pocket nines" are not carried in the pocket much, including my PM9. It feels like I have a brick in my pocket. When working outside around my farm in the winter, I sometimes stick it in a large coat pocket. Otherwise it is in a pancake leather holster on my hip.

The only pistols I really like in my pocket are the LCP size 380 pistols. Which I carry more than anything else now days.

Same with me snoop. I've been pocket carrying a Kahr CW380 that I bought in spring and absolutely love the darn thing. It is small to shoot at the range, but feels quite similar to a cell phone in my Desantis pocket holster (made for the S&W bodyguard.

I also have a Shield and PM9, and frankly the Shield doesn't cut it for me for pocket carry, and the PM9 is pushing it a little too but I bought one of those Alabama holsters I saw Hickok45 use w/ his PM9 and it works very well.

The CM9 is a great gun, and for some $180 less than the PM9 (okay, PM comes with two or three mags) so $150 less it's a great bargain pistol that really does the job.

I also have a CM9.

A few ounces, a few fractions of an inch in height and OAL really make a tremendous difference in your pocket.

I forget that my R9 is in my pocket.

The CM9 is constantly reminding me its there.

That's why I'm amazed when I hear people say they're pocket carrying a SCCY or a Glock 26.
