I pocket carry an lcp2, a sig 365, s&w 637-2 and occasionally a Taurus 709.

I'm not a big pocket carry guy, in my case the non-accessibility of it at the Moment of Truth is sort of a deal-breaker. Sort of the same thing with my old carry piece, a Colt Government .380, which I carried hammer down on a loaded chamber because I did NOT trust the slide safety. A few draw-and-shoot drills with that told me I needed to look for a better solution, and I think a pistol carried in my pocket would be the same.

Having said that, I have considered picking up a Kahr P380, certainly there is some sort of IWB holster that will carry it at the ready with a better concealment option than true pocket carry.... because at the end of the day, carrying a pistol in your pocket is better than leaving it on the dresser...

With the proper holster I don't find it difficult to draw from the right hip pocket. The factory holster on an LCP even works.

I'm thinking front pocket. I don't think carrying a pistol in my hip pocket on a motorcycle is such a hot idea... although I have done it.

Age has much to do with our abilities and therefore our mindsets. Corvette's are great but I slide in and out of an SUV easier, the same goes for carry style. I won't argue with someone under 50 about much because at 50 I was a lot more capable at everything.
My answer to this poll was the 938, not that I own one but I almost bought one until I handled the G48 which for me can be pocket carried but I prefer to carry it strong side in a simple Uncle Mike's. The 938, because it's a 1911 type can be carried condition 1 and I really dislike striker fired handguns without a safety for the pocket. Having said that I pocket carry J frames.
There is no right and wrong, just what works for you. In the case of pocket carry, the trigger must be properly covered.

A pocket pistol survey needs entries for J frame type revolvers, unless you mean pistol to disqualify wheel guns. Also missing are the LCPs, Glock 42s and other 380s. So I don't get the list. It certainly isn't representative of the current market selection. You have left out the most popular guns, IMHO.]

A) This is an Auto Pistol thread
B) Read the disclaimer...can’t include them all
C) Don’t like it. Start your own thread
D) Bye!

Snarky reply, not necessary.

No interest whatsoever in any of those except for the Sig guns that end in 8.

Now, if we added in a few Walthers that start with PP, or a p32 then I’m interested and talking... but for now, with the list as is, yawn.

Pocket pistol to me is my Taurus TCP , Ruger LCR357 or Charter Arms UC lite
None listed

My Glock 43 ( Not listed) and my Shield are to big for me to pocket carry

I used to pocket carry a Kahr PM9 in my office dress pants. I made a leather holster for it and also kept a bandana in front of it to minimize printing while I was sitting. Nobody ever asked me if that was a gun in my pocket.

Nobody ever asked me if that was a gun in my pocket.

Nobody is going to, either. That's a heck of a thing to accuse someone of. Especially a stranger, mere acquaintance or work colleague you're not particularly close with.

I've seen strange bulges on people before.
I just didn't go up to them and tap them on the shoulder about it.

My point is - just because nobody said anything to you doesn't mean you weren't "made", or at least suspected. That goes for any of us.

Poll should be titled "Which of these of the two Pocket Pistols which would you choose. Kahr CW380 or Sig 238, And that is assuming you are referring to a Kahr 380 when you say "Kahr Polymer".

Poll should be titled "Which of these is the largest Pistol you can you cram in a Pocket". Or perhaps from you poll, would be Which of the two Pocket Pistols which would you choose. Kahr CW380 or Sig 238, And that is assuming you are referring to a Kahr 380 when you say "Kahr Polymer".

God, I just love the internet!

Many things are possible. I've successfully carried a Colt 1903 in my pocket and it was once considered a pocket pistol. It's not what I would normally do though; my 1903s or Beretta 81s or even smaller pistols like the Beretta 70 series or Walther PP series or Savage 1907s that were once considered as pocket pistols work better today in a holster.

I can drive in a screw with a hammer; it's possible but not suggested.

Well I would say that I’m in good company. I ask for an opinion on a limited number of handguns. Included a disclaimer and an apology and look at the crap that was posted. Not a problem for me. I’ll hand it back in spades. If you can’t stand the heat then get out of the kitchen.

I had an old gun catalog and Col. Charles Askins IIRC wrote in an article and said that the S&W model 39 made a great full size pocket pistol. All I can say is that he must have bought his britches from Duluth Trading Company to have pockets that dern big.

An old man I knew (and really liked) that I used to work on his mobile home for him wore overalls everywhere he went. One day I was watching and he pulled a 4" model 10 out of his pocket. I had no idea that old goat was armed. He said "oh yeah, I carry this everywhere I go". And that was way before CC was law. But I guess since his son was the police chief of Lake Worth PD he felt like he could do what he wanted and get away with it. And he did till he died.

Still Snarky and unnecessary. It's not about the heat of the kitchen, an armed society should be a polite society, we here are an armed society therefore we must be more civilized. I'm only replying to this out of respect to the forum, I'm not taking anything personal. On a personal note, wisdom for me only came very late in life, wisdom brings understanding which should bring compassion instead of passion, a younger person's Achilles heel. ASallam Aleikum ya hala bik.
