I seen aimsurplus's south african for $133/980 :), and various vendors offering "super accurate aussie!! limited supplies!!!", etc etc for $140-170/800. :barf:

Dealer named JGsales in AZ has some indian stuff for $70/500 (iffy)

My fal likes the aim stuff but I know shipping is gonna kill me....

Anybody know where I can get cheaper port or SA?

I got the Indian stuff 4 months ago at a gunshow for 120 out the door. Shoots just fine and its boxer primed.

aim used to be the best becasue they had free shipping on their .308. They don't anymore. Better see how much shipping is before you purchase.

I had the opportunity to put some of the Indian Surplus through both my M1A and AR10..................to sum it up...... if someone gave it to me , I would not shoot it. Very inaccurate, compared to my Hirtenberger, and seemed to be loaded somewhat hotter.

Of course, this is only my opinion, but I have shot it.

Everyone at battlerifles.com that has shot the Aussie surplus has been very favorable in their reviews.

Best thing to do is to find the 7.62 closest to your home, shipping can be pretty substantial.

CMP has Aussie stuff for $140/800 rounds. Consensus is that it is very good stuff - just not reloadable. ;(

I just read a range report from a buddy using the Ausie stuff for first time ... seems very good - tho regretably Berdan primed. :(

Shipping is a killer - always. I was lucky back in June when in TX and got 1,000 rnds Portugese for $150 at gun show ....... seems good stuff.

I purchased 800 rnds of Aussie for $139 at a local gun show. It was purchased from Miwall.

ammoman.com has the shipping factored into his prices. $40 is about what shipping will run.

Still kicking myself for not hitting the last GS.

My local shops have surplus hert and aussie but they want $40 a battlepack.....

Anybody here shoot the indian stuff through a fal? I know that the M1A and AR10 are picky eaters ;)
