I hope you meant, "tumblers."
I'm guessing he has both vibratory cleaners and tumblers, so he specifies.

Hey, if you went someplace and saw dozens or hundreds of nickles and dimes laying on the ground, wouldn't you pick them up? Brass is the same thing to me. If you buy used brass you're gonna pay 5-10 cents apiece for them, maybe more, depending on what they are. Even if I don't reload that caliber, somebody does. I'll happily trade with someone, but I've also been known to give away LOTS of brass to guys looking for something that I just happen to have a few dozen of. It's good karma.
Does anyone else get excited about stuff like this?
Here's your answer...I know of one public range where the brass pickin' is always very productive, but it's at close to 10,000 feet in altitude, so it's a struggle for this fat old man. I'll still do it though, never claimed to be very bright. I'll probably drop dead someday while picking up $5 worth of brass.

THE answer for fat guys, old guys, tired guys, etc. that like to pick up brass! (Just in case I offended anyone, I fit all the above categories, so there!) We have some of these where I shoot and they work great.
Where was this? I might have to go visit sometime. There is a range out in the sticks where people can shoot 80 yards or so. I pull up one day, ready to shoot some .22, and what do I find?? The range is full of people. So, I wait in the A/C and about 20 minutes later, everyone leaves (4-5 people). I pull up...and I see gold. I forgot about shooting alltogether. There is a sea of gold colored metal laying on the ground. It took me almost an hour to pick it all up. I double bagged a grocery sack I had in the trunk, and I still ripped one handle. I never counted it up, but I completely filled a plastic bag from Wally World. I had an old shoebox in the truck. It was filled as well. I figure about 1000 pieces of .223, 200 pieces of .45 auto, 120 pieces of .308, 400 pieces of 9mm, and some .380, .44 mag, .22lr. I finished, my hands were very dirty, and I was thirsty. I drove to the local gas station to get some water and decided I had enough fun for the day. I went home and sorted brass for a few hours. Good stuff.
