For those who carry binos hunting or while recreating outside, curious to see if you have any recommendations. I have very few outdoor stores around me and those that are around have limited stock. I've done my share of Google research but never hurts to see what others are actually using in this community!

I'd prioritize ease of getting in and out, security of the flap, water resistance, and comfort. Some ability to store a small amount of "other" gear is welcome (GPS, car keys, rangefinder, etc)

Thanks in advance!

Check out Alaskan Guide Creations.

I bought one a their Kodiak Cub Max's few years ago and have been very happy with it. Store a laser range finder, wind indicator, my kestrel and a few other things. the phone holder on top is fantastic, especially if you use your phone for ballistic apps.

I have the Marsupial gear works fine. It’s not as big and bulky as some. I have the standard model they didn’t have the enclosed model when I bought mine but I’ve had no problems in bad weather. The magnetic latch works great

I like my Horn Hunter Bino Case. My only beef is the magnetic closure. It's good for ease of access. But if you forget about it, it can close with a clap. There goes stealth mode.

Bonus is the range finder quick access on side. And price isn't bad. Midway has them for $70.

^ same here. I have 2 of them, one on a set of compacts and another on some pretty heavy 10x32's. I love them.

I don't think that I'd like a case hanging up front. I can stash my gear elsewhere.

I use the entry level Vortex harness that came with my binoculars. I wouldn't recommend them. They work okay but they aren't very comfortable and I take them off every opportunity.

My current binocular harness from Eberlestock. Its pretty good even with the relative large BX-4 10x42 Leupolds in it. The harness is relatively comfortable and flat enough you can wear a pack over it without issue. Just enough pals on the sides for a few simple accessories.

Another marsupial fan here. I’ve added extra pouches to mine and if need be could grab just the bino pack and a rifle and have everything I need for a hunt.

Mine is the enclosed model

Small zipper pouch that stays more vertical that doesn’t get bulgy/rounded.
Someone just posted a 3d printed part that attaches via molle slits that holds a small round headlamp flashlight that’s pretty cool for the bottom of harness.
Molle slits on the harness straps to attach the ammo or wind checker pouch.
Kydex sheath clip or attachment somehow for side or bottom.
Some kind of Molle/Velcro placard for a dope chart would be cool on the lid of harness or on the rangefinder pouch for quick access.

I had the bright idea to get a Hill People chest bag for my binos/pistol. It's not big enough for both.
I'm using the chest rig that my Vortex binos came with. It's fine. No room for anything but the binos.

I use the case that came with them for storage and transport. Once I get to a location where I might use them, I use the red head harness strap to keep them right in front of me, where I can grab them in an instant without looking away from what I want to see better.

I carry handgun the same way I do everyday vs doing something different. I have backpacks for "stuff" I will have time to dig around for.

I was using a Leupold harness with a pair of their compact binos for several years. Works fine but serves only one function. Last year I decided to try a Helikon Numbat chest pack with my new Swarovski binos tethered to them with 1/8" shock cord. Works great with room for all sorts of junk, including a pistol.

Another HPG chest rig owner here. Not big enough for both but for just one it's fine. If I'm carrying binos plus a handgun I have a good size fanny pack I can wear on my hip that accommodates the handgun plus the chest rig for binos, or vice versa.
