Black Hills 45/70 powder..?

I had a box of the Black Hills 45/70 with the 405 grain lead bullets and man, was it shooting good in my Sharps yesterday.
Since I plan on reloading would anyone happen to know what powder that company uses and, perhaps, the load weight?
Not trying to steal any secrets, just liked the results and hope to repeat them...

I am sure it is proprietary information and may in fact be a special blended powder made just for them. Normally if you can match bullet weight and velocity you can match results providing you are use quality components, trim your brass, use single lot of bullets, weigh them into groups,etc.

If you are looking at a good low recoil reload that has good SD try Trail Boss for your Sharps. That powder makes my 450 Alaskan fun to shoot and is very accurate.

Thanks 451, I plan on trying the Trail Boss with 405 bullets as soon as I get my bench set up. Don't have a chrony so can't check velocity tho...
