I have a 1858 new army revolver, with the markings, a star in a circle, below that there is crossed rifles in a circle, then a ac in a square, next a pn mark.
On the barrel there is two marks the crossed rifles in a circle and a pn mark.
On the butt there is a serial number 166090.
I be leave the ac in the square is the date. 1977, but the manufacture name is not there, I think it was made in Italy. any one might know who the manufactures name might be.
the barrel has light machine marks on it, the rest of the gun is good and smooth.

Make sure you lower the loading lever and look closely at the under side of the barrel. Some manufacturers put their logos or names there.

Thanks all, I did find who manufactured this revolver, with the dgg mark is is amni san paolo sir in Italy. It seems that this revolver was not made for good looks, just function. I will have to file all the machine marks off the barrel and hope the markings don't file off as well, but to make it a nice looking revolver, Thats the only I can do it. I also may shorten the barrel 1/1/2 inches to make it better in balance and handling. I thought about selling it and getting the 51/2 inche barrel version, but then the loading arm is short and hard to use.
In this way the loading leaver is the same length and the revolver is just a inch longer.

Howdy

Well, there you go. This is my old EuroArms Remington that I bought back in 1975. Currently I shoot it with a 45 Colt conversion cylinder.

Here is the EuroArms marking on the barrel.

EuroArms did not actually make anything, they put their label on guns made by other companies. Here is the DGG in a circle under the loading lever indicating that the gun was actually made by Armi San Paolo.
