Yeah, I remembered the STG... But they never made a civvie version, did they? When were semi auto FALs available for sale commercially? Forgot about those. My first gun lust as a kid was an SAR-48.... How soon we forget. :D

They do actually.

Very nice....I am thinking about 3 gun this spring....If I do I will be using a box stock colt sporter.

And if I would ever buy another AR it would be like the one pictured.

man thats a nice rifle. I borrowed one like that for a few years but the owner finally noticed it missing and took it back to make a silly heavy gopher shooter out of it. Maybe my hands are funny but the triangle handguard feels better to me and i am not even thirty yet. where do the bullets come out of the rifle with all the gadets on it?

Cool!

How long have those been available for sale? Certainly not before the Colt SP-1 AR-15, right?

Same here... I dig the standard ARs.

I like to keep it simple... and real. No optics, extra handles or gadgets. Just light and smooth to the touch.

And no clones. Genuine articles.

Got this in 1978:

The 91 was stolen in 1985 so I bought this FAL as a replacement. Cops recovered the 91 in 2002, BTW.
