I've got a black ring inside the chamber of my rifle it seems to have no texture as I run a plastic pick over it.
But that is what a gunsmith I know is telling me is the cause of my shells sticking after firing, he is also saying it is from the reamer that was used when that barrel was made. Also I'm no where near the max load.
The gun smith I took it too tried every solvent he had to brush/polish it out but was unsuccessful.
I'm not trying to over load you guys with info but in case anyone asks I tumble my brass after ever firing so they are clean.
I FL size all my brass and they chamber very well.
I do not cast my own bullets I use 168gr burger classic hunters.
Never jammed the bullet against the lans always 0.02" jump.
No signs of high pressure on the case or primer no case separation or primer flattening or cratering.
Has anyone ever seen this before and if so what was it from?
