Blanks

I got tasked to either buy or make some for .45LC to be used in a show.

Does anybody know where I might find some or in lieu of that, how to make them?

I heard something about the green foam used by florists as a cap, but all-in-all, I'd much rather buy them than make them.

They can be hand-loaded yourself with a case full of FFFF black powder and a card wad cemented in place with Elmer's Glue.

Smokeless powder suitable for blanks is not available to the reloader.

You might also want to put on a demonstration for those in the show that are going to be shooting these blanks. In a safe area, take a paper shopping bag and shoot at it from about five feet. This should impress upon them the danger of shooting someone close up with blanks. They can cause serious injury if proper precautions aren't taken.
