Anyone have information about targeting systems that provide audible feedback that could be used by a blind person? SCATT has been mentioned in passing but we haven't found anyone (ME) here who knows anything about it. I'm sure there must be SOMEONE out there who has used one of these systems. We'd like to try it out but have no idea where to start. My husband is also having a hard time finding an instructor who will teach a blind person. He took a really basic course with a handicapped sports program run by a college in another state. This is no longer being offered. He shoots a Ruger 10/22 at the York County Fish and Game Association's range in Lyman ME. Thank you for any help.

What has kinda worked for me, is set up a steel target, and stand behind the shooter so you can help guide him. The steel of course gives him immediate feedback! Pls use a small caliber, and ear and eye protection, as you can get lead flying back at you.

If you can tilt the plate down a bit, it should eliminate any rick-O'sheas.

We were shooting at 15 yards or so, 22 caliber. (I know - much closer to the steel than recommended).

Scatt is used and there is even competition in europe in 10 m air rifle for blind people

To use it in smallbore i would say one needs the scatt 2

We are scatt dealers for the benelux but it is my collegue who specialises
Ill ask and come back to you

Peter
