don't blow your $. .357 are real good and even the top nickle platers are gonna make it look floozy IMHO . With that new cylinder it looks great. Yeah turn back the barrel and rethroat with a nice tight gap, Ahh soo sweet !

Heres the bloody Colt mocked up in .45 Colt. I had a NOS .357 cylinder I had Bob James cut to 45 Colt. I have another legit 5.5" .45 barrel I'm going to put on there eventually when I do make up my mind on what finish to use but for right now its got THAT 4.75" barrel. I was ordering some screws and noticed they had 4 3/4" new "Hartford" barrels for $30. I ordered one knowing what they were. They are Army San Marcos barrels that just happen to fit 1st and 2nd gen colt frames. I'll probably keep the barrel on there through the summer and send it in with a proper Colt barrel over the off season. $30 is $30. Maybe I'll get used to it. Maybe not.
