BLR for targets and deer?

I've never owned or actually known a person with a Browning rifle from 22short up to 30 caliber center-fire rifles that were not tack drivers, be the take down guns, lever, bolt or semi-auto.

My next Browning will be a BLR TD, but I'm told they didn't offer them this year. I hope it's not true or it's just temporary, as that's the last Browning on my wish list. I just scored a used but never fired BAR in 270 Win with deep blued 20" barrel and nice wood and a 3-9x50 Leupold and 4# trigger that's a tack driver.

My first Browning was a 12 gauge NIB A5 that I won in a lottery in 1965... I have been a Browning freak ever since...

I purchased a used but well cared for BL-22 about three years ago and the first shot was a dead center hit about 25 yards...

I am old school and have no thrills go up my leg over black guns...

The BLR that I just purchased was after a two year hunt for new or used, with the initial search for a SS .270 with a walnut stock. In the process I saw a Gold Medallion and my senses went away.

I search for new or used and I believe that I have seen some take-downs on the used market... As a rule most Browning's are well cared for.

FWIW, I also have a used BAR in .270, Belgium made, and it is in 95% or better condition.

Joe my BAR has '04 Serial# and says made in Belgium assembled in Portugal on it, but my Jap A-bolts are all tack drivers including my A-bolt 22 with prettier stock then my Medallion. No it's never been to the woods either, but it will do 3/4" or tad less at 100 yards at the range.
