I've about talked myself into selling one of my guns, and I'm hoping someone with a blue book would kindly tell me about what it's worth, please. What I've got is a 1973 EUROARMS 1858 Remington in pretty good shape. It's got some holster wear on the barrel, and a ring around the cylinder (of course), but the grips are in good shape. If there's a problem with it's function I have yet to see it. The only problems I've had, have been my own inexperience (ignorance), and not the weapon. It's a definite shooter.

In case you're wondering, the reason I'm thinking about selling it, is I can't hit anything with it. The Euroarms grip is so darn small, and my hands are so darn big, that it moves in my mitt when I fire it. Let me just say, I have hit with it, so it's not the gun. Unfortunately, due to a degenerative neuromuscular condition I'm not able to hold it on target during recoil anymore. My 1860 and 1851 are great for me, but the 1858 sadly isn't.

Can anybody tell me what this gun, with a Uberti conversion cyl., should go for?

Thanks

I'm not sure of the Blue Book value but if you're looking for opinions or comparisons, I paid $200 for a Pietta Remington last Fall (in great shape). It came with two extra BP cylinders and a pouch to hold them. I sold the 2 cylinders for $60. The place where I bought it was selling a conversion cylinder for an 1860 .44 for $170 which I think was a great deal (I don't own a conversion cylinder for any gun).
Just remember to ship the conversion cylinder seperately from the gun.
Where are parts available for Euroarms?

You didn't list caliber but .36 and .44 are the same.
Here is the pricing I saw listed.
Grading
100% 98% 90% 80%
$190 $155 $115 $80

After careful consideration, I just can't sell the gun. I looked around and found where people have built larger grips, as I've been considering doing, and I think that's what I'm going to do. I'll probably post the conversion cyl. for sale on TFL, but I'm thinking the gun stays. I feel all better now.:D
