What are the best solvent/lube products to have in a bolt action maintenance kit? Looking to use as few as possible, to keep it simple.

Scroll down for Brownells offering.

I've used that for the lugs and Ed's Red for the rest of the gun. On a persnickety .22lr bolt action I used the factory grease for an Epson printer meant for the bar the print head road on. It is high temp and is quite remarkable in keeping the rifle running. It is also impossible to find. I acquired it when I repaired them. I suspect it's some sort of silicone grease but have no idea what variation. :(

I use ED's Red as my primary cleaning solvent. But for the hard/stubborn spots, I use Butches Bore shine solvent in a Glass Jar. This cleaner will remove all of the stubborn spots. I would also recommend using some kind of guide to keep the solvents from the trigger group. If you decided to clean from the muzzel ( not recommended) Make sure you use a crown protector. I use only Syn Oil's and grease as my lubricants. Protect better, last longer, have a much larger range of operating temperature.
