Finally, I get to shoot 400 and 600 yds. After blowing 6 shots I got my point of aim figured out. It came out to 3-5/8" @400 or .86 MOA. I will have to post a photo Monday.

My 600 yard shooting did not look good. The wind changed twice on the way and I didn't want to burn ammo. All targets were 16" square hanging steel plates.

Some of my favorite shooting is done at 400 yards on steel silhouettes. Always bring a smile to hear that ding. Glad you got it too.

Gotta love the boom.......... ding! was using my 338 lapua this morning and got a BOOM! 13 second wait.......DING!!! I know I almost don't believe it myself

Try shooting NRA high power rifle silhouette. You shoot at steel targets from 200 meters out to 500 meters, from the standing offhand position. Tons of fun. Even more fun is shooting the same targets with handguns out to 200 meters.

what rifle?
I just built a really cheap savage 110 7mm-08, it's the cheapest one I've ever built. All stock except a Shaw barrel.

Grizz has a whole lotta gun and some nice country to shoot through. Notice I didn't say "in". I like how that bullet went sub sonic and struck that plate sideways. Odd things happen to bullets after a mile. Really good shooting tho.

Alabama is heavily wooded and there are no public ranges this long near me. A former boss man of mine has some old abandoned coal mine land. He also had a 700 yd plate I didn't attempt.
