My friend just took a course at Smith and Wesson (which he said was great). He informed me that his instructor stated that Boston has it's own concealed carry law i.e. that you can't carry in Boston if you have a CCP from another city. I'd never heard that! Has anything changed or can you still carry in Boston with a permit from another city?

It's these same kind of idiots who run around saying open carry is illegal even though it is in fact legal.

If you have a Class A LTC with no restrictions, that license is valid statewide, even in Boston.

The actual city of Boston does have some different laws than the rest of the state. Lonnie is correct though. A Class A LTC is valid state-wide. They have an assault rifle ban, rifle capacity ban, and a knife carry blade length law that differs from the rest of the state though. The process for actually getting a LTC in the city of Boston is also different from almost the entire rest of the state. Good luck getting one of those! I'm glad I don't live in that ridiculous state anymore.
